Luxury Web Design for a Quintessential Country Pub

THE CLIENT

Emma runs the beautiful Fleur de Lys Pub near Henley-in-Arden, Warwickshire with her husband Nick, and two young children. It’s truly a family business in a picturesque village, Packed full of quaint charm and quirky corners beneath its 16th Century wooden beams, the Fleur De Lys is ‘a cosy haven in the winter and an extensive paradise with a sprawling, dog-friendly beer garden in the summer.’

THE STRUGGLE

The previous website was outdated and completely lacked the charm and beauty of this idyllic and historic country pub. It was basic in format and had very little content optimised for driving organic traffic. It was very tricky for Emma to update and simply wasn’t doing the establishment any justice!

  • An online home that reflected the charm, beauty and the warm welcome awaiting you upon your visit to the pub.

  • A powerful marketing tool driving traffic from people yet to discover this hidden gem in the countryside

    To capture the essence and heritage of this beautiful English country pub, I immersed myself in its atmosphere during an on-site visit. The rich, sumptuous colors and cosy vibe were a constant source of inspiration throughout the project. I made sure these defining characteristics were woven into every element of the final website design, creating an online presence as inviting and warm as the pub itself.

    This bespoke website design started with a blank canvas, as all my projects do—templates can’t capture the unique story of each brand. I built the design around Emma’s copy, allowing the words to lead. The stunning imagery by the talented We Are The Clarkes brought the pub’s deliciously cosy vibe to life, making the entire design process a joy. The result is a website that feels as welcoming and distinctive as the pub itself.
